Clariance is a privately funded spine technology corporation based in France, specialized in the development of spinal fusion products and motion preservation technologies for the treatment of spinal disorders.
Alain Tornier, the Founder of Clariance, has extensive experience in the orthopedic industry acquired over thirty years as the President and CEO of the Tornier group. Our development strategy is oriented around two distinctive activities :
Motion preservation technologies
This activity targets the spinal non-fusion devices market. Clariance has developed two surgical techniques and products for posterior access of the lumbar region of the spine, designed to allow for a greater range of motion following surgery. This has resulted in Clariance elaborating a major patent portfolio to secure several innovative technologies.
Fusion technologies
Following a request from our global partners, strongly motivated by our development capacities, know-how and our engineering experience, Clariance made the decision to develop a full fusion product portfolio. Furthermore, the establishment of a new and inventive business model has strengthened our desire to enter the fusion market.
